Road safety project presented in Baku

Azerbaijan’s Automobile Federation (AAF) has presented another traffic safety project at the Heydar Aliyev Center on June 14.

"Learn the rules of the road" project is of theoretical and practical nature, the Federation informed Trend.

The event was held interactively in the form of discussions. The organizers provided information on the rules of conduct in public transport and at bus stops. Guests were informed about road signs, traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, safety cameras, etc. Following the presentation, AAF held practical classes.

Overall, AAF has implemented a number of social projects related to road safety in the country. In cooperation with the Azerbaijani Education Ministry, lessons entitled "Learn by images" were organized in preschool institutions and secondary schools of Azerbaijan. During these lessons, students and pupils familiarized with pictures prepared by Azerbaijan Automobile Federation, studied the rules of the road and were explained of the importance of adhering to these rules.

Moreover, AAF has prepared a video on road safety that was broadcasted on local TVs, Baku public monitors and a number of theaters. Furthermore, the Federation prepared and distributed several road-security publications.

AAF brings together and facilitates the joint activities of professional and amateur organizations and people engaged in automobile sports and traffic safety in Azerbaijan. It is a full-fledged member of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). AAF held two race-car V1 Challenges of Azerbaijan in 2014 and 2016 and attracted world-famous racers to the Azerbaijani capital.
