AzerNEWS weekly, Azerbaijan’s first English language newspaper published since 1997, is in the vanguard of the country’s print media market. The newspaper is the country’s only edition in the country whose news reports are entered into the database of the world’s leading economic edition – The Financial Times.
Another distinctive feature of the newspaper is that AssA-Irada news agency, the main source of information for AzerNEWS, earned international recognition in 2000 when the World Trade Leaders Club conferred the “For Quality” award on the agency in a ceremony in Paris.
AzerNEWS subscribers and business partners include BP, Statoil, Devon Energy, Turkish Petroleum, Itochu, KCA Deutag, Radisson SAS and Park Inn Hotels, Europe Hotel, as well as US, British, German, Norwegian, Turkish, Japanese, Egyptian, Saudi Arabian, Pakistani and many other embassies accredited in Azerbaijan, just to name a few.
AzerNEWS is a broad-sheet publication with a print-run of 6,000 copies. The newspaper is published on Wednesdays. The total space of a newspaper page is 2,000 sq cm.
