Sports complex to be built in Baku
BAKU – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order on the construction of a Sports and Concert Complex in Baku, the President's website reported.
Upon the order, the Azerbaijan State Property Committee will assume the function of customer of design and construction of the complex, organizing and coordinating work in the construction of the facility.
The committee and Baku City Executive Power are in charge of defining and allocating land for the construction of the complex; ensuring direct conclusion of a contract with the contractor selected based on negotiations with the companies that have expertise in this regard, as well as implementing project management related to the implementation of the contract, with involving a professional international consultant.
The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to take actions related to financing the construction of the complex, as well as resolve other issues arising from this order within one month.
