Russia, European Union to discuss military cooperation
MOSCOW – Chief-of-Staff of the Russian armed forces, Mr. Nikolai Makarov, is expected to meet with the Chairman of the EU Military Committee, Swedish General Mr. Hakan Syren, on Friday in Moscow to “discuss vital problems of military cooperation between Russia and the European Union in maintaining peace and security on the European continent,” the Russian defense ministry was quoted by Itar-Tass as saying.
During the visit to last to September 4, Mr. Syren will visit a motorized infantry division of the Moscow military district.
