Azeri energy firm eyes Turkish gas distributor
Azerbaijan’s state energy firm Socar is seeking to purchase Igdas, Turkey's largest gas distribution company, CEO of Socar Turkey Enerji Kenan Yavuz said in an interview with Bloomberg HT.
He said ownership of Igdas meets Socar’s interests, adding that the company has not yet formally announced its decision to buy the Istanbul-based firm.
Yavuz said Socar is also interested in selling oil products in neighboring Turkey.
