French senators to visit Azerbaijan
The delegation, which includes a group of French senators who have applied to the Constitutional Council with a request to revoke a law criminalizing denial of the "Armenian genocide", will visit Azerbaijan at the invitation of the State Committee on Diaspora on Sunday, the committee said.
The delegation included Senators Nathalie Goulet, Sylvia Goy-Chavent, Jean-Marie Bockel, Herve Maurey, Andre Reichardt and Jeanny Lorgeoux.
The senators will hold meetings in the Parliament of Azerbaijan, in a number of ministries and will meet with refugees and internally displaced people and learn about their living conditions during the visit.
The visit of French Senate delegation will last until February 10.
