South African president hosts new Azeri envoy
The newly appointed Azerbaijani Ambassador to South Africa, Elkhan Polukhov, handed his credentials to South African President Jacob Zuma on Wednesday.
During the conversation, Polukhov stressed that it is an honor for him to be the first ambassador to South Africa, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
Stressing that the ties between the two countries are developing, Polukhov said he will make every effort to strengthen relations between Azerbaijan and South Africa.
Zuma wished success to the diplomat.
After meeting with other foreign ambassadors who also presented their credentials, Zuma delivered a speech on South Africa's domestic and foreign policy.
