European lawmakers back Azerbaijan on Karabakh
BAKU – European Parliament members have said they support a settlement to the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno Karabakh within Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. The statement by Ivo Vajgl and Pino Arlacchi was made during their meeting with Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in Baku on Thursday, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry told AssA-Irada.
Discussions also covered European energy security and ways of expanding European Union-Azerbaijan cooperation as part of the Eastern Partnership program, which aims to boost the 27-member bloc’s cooperation with its ex-Soviet partners.
