Azerbaijan, Serbia sign agreement on economic cooperation
Azerbaijan and Serbia signed Agreement on Economic and Technological Cooperation in Baku on Wednesday.
The Agreement was signed within Serbian Economy and Regional Development Minister Neboysha Chirich's visit to Baku, Serbian Embassy in Azerbaijan said on Wednesday.
Serbian Economy and Regional Development Ministry's delegation is on a two-day visit to Azerbaijan. The delegation held talks at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry, discussing further cooperation between business authorities of the two countries.
Foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Serbia amounted to $1.84 million in January-November 2011, increasing by 33 percent compared to the same period of last year. Some 99 percent of trade turnover accounted for import of goods from Serbia.
Serbia is interested in attracting Azerbaijani investments, while the Azerbaijani side expressed interest to be involved in infrastructure projects in Serbia.
