Baku hosts Korean photo exhibition and concert
A three-day photo exhibition titled “Korean nature, environment and the development of greenery” opened and a concert of South Korean performers was held in the Azerbaijani capital Baku on Wednesday.
Korean Ambassador Lee Ji-ha told the opening of the exhibition that the event, which features 45 photos, will familiarize visitors with Korean nature.
“This exhibition and concert are the outset of a series of events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Korean-Azerbaijani relations, which will be marked in 2012,” Lee Ji-ha said.
Stressing that relations between the two countries are developing in all areas, the ambassador said such events are very important for cultural ties.
Lee Ji-ha said they grant Azerbaijanis an opportunity to learn more about Korean culture.
“I hope that after such events the Azerbaijani people will know more about the Koreans, and our sincere relationship will deepen further,” he added.
