Archaeological excavations found in Aghdam

Telman Mammadov, a resident of the Aghdam region has found ancient ornaments and stone tools near the Merzili village, Day.az reported.
Other historical discovers, including rings, earrings, dagger, candlestick have been found by another resident of the village near the irrigation ditch.
Residents of the area claim that such findings have been revealed here several times. They want relevant authorities to carry out archaeological research in these areas.
In the near future, the Institute of History of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences is planning to start of the archaeological excavations there.
