Anthology of contemporary literature to be published

The Translation Centre operating under the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers will publish an Anthology of Contemporary Literature which includes works of young writers and poets, Azertac reported.
The editorial board held its first meeting on June 20 to debate the collection, designed to identify young talents and promote their creative writings.
The event was attended by AzTC Director Afag Masud, literary critics Vagif Yusifli, Asad Jahangir, Rustam Kamal, head of the Science, Education and Culture Department at AzTC Yashar Aliyev, as well as language specialists for literary texts Mahir Garayev and Etimad Muradov.
The meeting participants discussed the principles of compiling the anthology, as well as criteria to select works by young writers.
Founded in 2014, AzTC is an executive body which centralizes translation work, manages socio-political, scientific, technical, literary and cultural ties from the point of view of language and translation, oversees the standard of translation in the republic and improves its quality.
