Heydar Aliyev Foundation to organize exhibition of children’s handicrafts

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation will organize an exhibition and auction of talented children’s handicrafts.

The exhibition will display drawings and other works of the talented children from the Rehabilitation Center of Persons with Down Syndrome, the “Origami” Public Association, the Children's Rehabilitation Center "Gaygi", and also various orphanages and kindergartens of Baku and the country’s regions.

About 400 works will be showcased at the exhibition.

The means obtained at the auction will go to the charitable purposes for the orphan children and children needing special care.

The event organized at the initiative of the Foundation aimed at supporting creativity of the talented children, developing their abilities and familiarizing the public with the works created by them.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation successfully implements many projects in developing of childcare institutions' infrastructure, as well as addressing local problems in various parts of the country, and assisting to the vulnerable groups of population. The Foundation also holds social programs abroad.

Furthermore, the Foundation is frequently holding festivities for children from various orphanages in Baku, and Rehabilitation Center for People with Down Syndrome.

Earlier, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Founder of the IDEA Public Union, Leyla Aliyeva has launched Baku Corner, a fair trade concept project operating for charitable purposes.

The non-profit project is designed to contribute to the global efforts to support talented individuals across the world. Baku Corner’s store also offers artworks produced by children living in local residential institutions, such as orphanages and children’s homes.
