The works of one of the world's most foremost sculptors Tony Cragg, henceforth, will adorn the collection of the Heydar Aliyev Center.

So-called “Points of view” sculpture has been included in the Heydar Aliyev Center's permanent exhibitions' list.

The unusual works were first featured in the center in 2014, as part of the Cragg’s solo exhibition. The exhibition, which was held between August 9 and 31 exposed some 28 works of the famous sculptor.

So far, more than 350 solo exhibitions of eminent sculptor have been featured different countries. His work is notable for its exploration of different materials, including found objects and raw matter of various kinds.

Cragg's method of dispassionate ordering and composing seeks to make evident the vast array of objects and images that surround us, but with which he feels modern man has only a superficial relationship, based on function alone.

He won the Turner Prize in 1988 and represented Britain at the 42nd Venice Biennale in the same year. In 1994, he was elected Royal Academician and in 2007 he was awarded the Praemium Imperiale for Sculpture.

The futuristic Heydar Aliyev Center is a brilliant piece of post-modern architecture. The building’s shape is an eternal cycle, connecting the past with the present.

A bright white pearl of modern Baku, the center, designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, was opened in the capital in 2012.

Recognized as a world masterpiece of architecture, the Heydar Aliyev Center has immediately grown into a signature architectural landmark of modern Baku. The building won the London Design Museum award in 2014.

The center is divided into three sections. One of the most popular is the Heydar Aliyev Museum, which describes the history of Azerbaijan through different stages of Heydar Aliyev’s life and work.

The second section is the Exhibition Halls, which consists of nine floors with exhibition halls, an administrative office, and a cafeteria.

The Auditorium is the last section. It contains four levels and contains two multifunctional conference halls, meeting rooms, and the media center.
