Unusual exhibition held in Baku

The exhibition of a young Azerbaijani graphic designer, Rasul Hasanov was held at Baku’s Art Villa from June 30 to July 1.

The works of 23-year-old Rasul, is created in the style of photo illustrations. Such format exhibition is something new for the Baku audience. The specificity of a photo illustration is about that it presents realistic image of the object.

The exhibition entitled “Duha” (greatness) featured more than 20 portraits and images of famous personalities, which the designer prepared for three years.

Among these interesting works there are portraits of such outstanding Azerbaijani people as Khurshudbanu Natavan, Mesheti Ganjavi, Nasimi, Sattar Bahlulzada, Huseyn Javid, Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev, Uzeir Hajibeyli, Aliaga Vahid, Hasan bay Zardabi, Fatali khan Khoyski, Mammad Emin Rasulzada, Vagif Mustafazada, Abbasgulu aga Bakikhanov, Mikayil Mushfig, and world- famous people including Lev Tolstoy, Frank Sinatra, Ernesto Che Guevara and others.

Rasul was born in Baku. He graduated from the Faculty of Technology and Design of the Azerbaijan State Economic University.
