Baku will host the best of UK film productions within the framework of the second British Film Festival at a premium class movie theater, 28 Cinema.

The opening ceremony of the festival is going to take place on April 8.

The films will be screened in English and will run until April 12, according to the British Council.

The festival will be carried out with the joint organizational efforts of the British Embassy Baku and 28 Cinema.

Those who wish can purchase the tickets at the cinema’s cashbox or via www.28cinema.az web-site.

Over 3000 people had a chance to watch the first British Film Festival, which was held in Baku in 2013, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the British Council in Azerbaijan.

The 28 Cinema, the largest movie hall in the country in terms of number of seats, uses the modern Enhanced 4K technology, the Barco projectors of new generation and 3D Xpand spectacles. The movie theater with six halls traditionally hosts film festivals.

The British Council is the UK's leading international organization operating in 109 countries worldwide for cultural relations and educational opportunities. The British Council builds relationship and understanding between people in Britain and other countries to increase trust between nations and appreciation of the UK's ideas and achievements overseas.
