Greece capital Athens will get acquainted with Azerbaijani culture on September 27-28.

The Days of Azerbaijani Culture organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation will promote the historical and cultural heritage of the country and help to expand ties between the two countries.

During the event, a presentation of the first European games "Baku 2015" will be held by screening of a film on the preparations for European Games. Meanwhile, some concerts will be given by the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra and the State Dance Ensemble.

Moreover, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Greece, The Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Marianna V. Vardinoyannis Foundation will hold a charity concert aimed to support education in Greece.

Athens has already been decorated with banners about Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, its street monitors are displaying various videos on the Land of Fire.

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has already implemented a number of projects to expand relations between countries and nations and to promote Azerbaijan in Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Greece and other countries.

Earlier this year, Azerbaijan's State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev gave a concert in Athens Concert Hall performing folk, contemporary and classic music.

Previous cultural events held by the foundation abroad include exhibitions on the 20th anniversary of restoration of national independence by Azerbaijan and marking the 870th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi in London, Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Strasbourg, and Rome.
