The new building of Carpet Museum in Baku's Seaside Park will mark Open Doors Night on September 27.

The night will be held from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. that is a unique opportunity for visitors. They can enjoy watching a large exposition and unique samples of applied arts.

The new building houses 13,300 exhibits and items, including carpets, thread-work samples, metal works, fabrics, clothing, ceramics, glasses, wooden and paper items, jewelry, books, and a unique collection of photographs.

Carpet waving is an Azerbaijani ancient tradition and it is no wonder that the first museum of carpets was opened in Azerbaijan back in 1967.

Establishment of the modern building of the museum reveals the attentions given to this national dignity.

Along with a valuable exhibition, the visitors will also have a chance to enjoy a Jazz performance by Aysel Mammadova, watch short films by young Azerbaijani directors, a video-performance, as well as an exhibition of works by young artists Laman Yusifli and Mehriban Shamsadinskaya.

A master class will also teach the visitors the techniques of weaving bracelets. There is also a concert by Manual FM and DJ Hazy.
