“Les lumières obscures” exhibition opens in Geneva

The opening ceremony of the " Les lumières obscures " ("Dark lights") art exhibition under the cycle "European Roots" was organized in Geneva on September 15.

The event was co-organized by the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the United Nations Office, the Permanent Delegation of the Council of Europe to the UN Office and other international organizations.

The exhibition was held within the chairmanship of Azerbaijan to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe

Addressing the ceremony, Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the UN Office and other international organizations at Geneva Murad Najafbayli and Ambassador and Permanent Observer of the Council of Europe to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva Petru Dumitriu welcomed the guests and talked about the significance of the event.

Art works of an artist Alexandre Alpeyrie, suffering from bipolar disorder, were demonstrated in the exhibition.

The event also brought together permanent representatives accredited in the UN office in Geneva, other members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of international organizations in Geneva, city officials, academic staff of universities, and members of the Diaspora and Azerbaijani students.

The exhibition will last until September 26.
