“Best Summer Photo of Azerbaijan” winners named

The Azerbaijan Youth Organization of Russia (AYOR) announced the winners of the Best Summer Photo of Azerbaijan- 2014 on September 14.
Co-organized by Moscow Culture Department and AZE Project, the amateur photographers' competition was held on the initiative of Vice-President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.
Addressing the opening ceremony, member of the AYOR's board Emin Hajiyev thanked Leyla Aliyeva for her support to Azerbaijani youth in Russia.
He noted that 250 works were sent to the competition in short time. "It was very difficult to choose the winner from the big number of interesting photos," Hajiyev stressed.
Chairman of Russian National Council of Youth and Children's Associations Grigory Petushkov, in turn, emphasized the important role of Azerbaijani students in strengthening and developing bilateral relations between two sides.
He said that AYOR has always been distinguished with its creativity and original ideas.
Then, the winners were announced in six nominations. They were awarded with diplomas and money prizes.
The winner of the first place in "Baku: architecture" nomination became Firuz Ahmadov.
The best in "Moscow through Azerbaijanis' eyes" became Javid Mammadov. The best photo in "Azerbaijan in faces" was taken by Fariz Melikov. The luckiest photo in "Tourism" category became Konul Mammadova. In "Ecology" and "Azerbaijan's landscapes" nominations the winners were Margarita Bolicheva and Fargana Gasimova, respectively.
The ceremony ended with interesting cultural program of such famous musicians as Riad Mammadov , Georgy Mansurov, ReLove and the special guest of the night DJ Mansur.
