Azerbaijani film awarded at sixth Silafest 2014
A film directed by Azerbaijani filmmaker Mariya Ibrahimova titled "Azerbaijan: European Attraction of the East" got the best tourism movie award at the 6th International Festival of Tourism and Environmental Film 'SILVER LAKE TOURFILM FESTIVAL - SILAFEST '14, in Veliko Gradiste, central Serbia, AzerTag state news agency reported.
The award was presented to the employee of Azerbaijan`s embassy in Serbia.
The film focuses on Azerbaijan`s main tourist destinations.
Silafest is one of the most prestigious festivals in the world in this category according to the list of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), which is under the auspices of the UN World Tourism Organization.
The festival brings together the most eminent authors, not only from Europe but also around the world. This year, 40 movies were screened at Silafest, which were previously chosen out of 186 movies from 13 countries.
