Ziya Shikhlinski working on new film

Azerbaijan's honored artist, director Ziya Shikhlinski have
started shooting a documentary film called "Dedication".
The film is dedicated to Azerbaijan's famous statesman and winner
of the State Prize of the USSR, Alish Lemberanski.
The director will use archival footage and memories of people with
close connection to the hero.
The shooting will take place in Lemberan village, where Alish
was born.
Azerbaijan's honored artist Yuriy Varnovskiy, film editor Mubariz
Nagiyev and art producers Madat and Mushvig Abdullayev will take
part in the project.
A music piece made by Azerbaijan's outstanding composer Tofig
Guliyev would be used in the film.
The premier of the film is scheduled for September in Russian
Information and Cultural Center in Baku.
Alish Lemberanskiy was born in Barda on May 10, 1914 in a family of famous Azerbaijani traumatologist and orthopedist Jamil Lemberanski.
Alish Lemberanski is famous for his activities in various areas of public administration and his merits in creating important industrial and cultural institutions in Azerbaijan.
Due to his activities, splendid architectural ensembles like Green Theater, funicular, "Venice" and cafe "Pearl" appeared in Baku. The former Shopping street became pedestrian (like Moscow's Arbat) due to the efforts of Lemberanski.
Such beautiful architectural works as Bagirov brige, State Circus, Alish , Heydar Aliyev Palace, Gulistan Palace, Theatre of Musical Comedy, Moscow, Azerbaijan and Absheron hotels and new Baku refinery were built under Azerbaijan's honored artist's direction. Opera and Ballet Theatre also was rebuilt after a major fire.
The capital was also decorated with monuments of Fuzuli, Nasimi, Khurshud Banu Natavan and "Bahram Gur" sculpture of the heroes from the poem "Seven Beauties" by Nizami Ganjavi, which was the first monument with a fountain in Baku.
