The International Samsun Folk Dance Festival is the biggest festival all around the world. This Festival meets the nation and helps the World Peace. The peculiarity of the this festival is that it includes only Folk Dance, not like concert or the other activity.

The festival, which is traditionally held on July 17 to 20 annually, was postponed this year due to the Ramadan.

According to the head of Cultural and Social Affairs Department of Samsun Municipality Necmi Camash, this year's festival will be held in the open area, in Republic Square for the first time.

"Furthermore, the dancers will perform street demonstrations at every point of the city. Citizens will watch performances freely at 19:00 at the Republic Square every evening," he said.
