Ruins of ancient town found in Azerbaijan
The employees of the Azerbaijani Institute of Archeology and Ethnography under the National Academy of Sciences found the walls of a medieval fortress Shatel in Goranboy, head of the Ganja archaeological expedition of the Institute, Prof. Arif Mammadov told Trend news agency on Wednesday.
He said that this fortress is a part of the medieval town of Shatel. The walls were found while laying the water pipeline. The walls were not damaged during these operations.
