Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall hosted a concert of young composers on February 14.

The event was co-organized by Mədəniyyət TV and Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall as part of the project "Voice of Youth", Trend Life reported.

Works by young composers Elvin Guliyev, Tamilla Akhadova, Nigar Aliyeva, Togrul Salmanov and Said Gani were performed for the first time. The music pieces performed by the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra left no one indifferent. The orchestra was conducted by Fakhraddin Karimov.

Addressing the event director of Mədəniyyət TV Ramil Gasimov talked about the creation of Mədəniyyət TV channel.

"It was no coincidence that the concert program was held on February 14. About 62 years ago the words "Baku shows" were heard on the air, and the Azerbaijani television started broadcasting. This day, February 14, 1956, was inscribed in gold letters in the history of Azerbaijan. In exactly 55 years - On February 14, 2011, Mədəniyyət TV started its activity on the basis of the Azerbaijan Television. During the years of activity the channel has always supported youth representatives," said director of Mədəniyyət TV Ramil Gasimov. He also stressed the role of the state in development youth, the creation of all conditions for the disclosure of creativity.

"Our main goal is to create a high aesthetic taste of the audience, to inform the public about the activities of the state in the field of culture, comprehensive coverage of international music festivals held in the country, propaganda of culture and art of the country." On its 7th anniversary, Mədəniyyət TV came with a big gift - viewers can watch our transmission 24 hours a day in HD format," he added.

Mədəniyyət TV organizes a systematized display of both domestic films - the pearls of the national cinema of the 20th century, as well as foreign films. Moreover, most of these films are presented to viewers in an updated, restored form. Mədəniyyət TV also has the exclusive right to broadcast all the significant cultural projects held in Azerbaijan. One of the most important projects of Mədəniyyət TV is a cycle of creative evenings, anniversaries and concerts dedicated to prominent Azerbaijani artists.

"In addition, of Mədəniyyət TV implements joint projects with various cultural institutions and institutions: 232 events took place last year, and at the same time a large number of gifted young people were able to demonstrate their talents thanks to the projects implemented jointly by the Mədəniyyət TV and the State Philharmonic, the International Center of Mugham, the Palace of Heydar Aliyev, the Chamber and Organ Music Hall, as well as the regional cultural centers. Among such projects are a song contest among composers, a military-patriotic contest among poets, organized jointly with Azerbaijan Union of Writers as well as contests of poems on such themes as "Contemporary Azerbaijan" and "Baku".
