Tahir Amiraslanov represents country at WGI

President of the National Culinary Association, General Director of the National Culinary Center, Tahir Amiraslanov was elected as Azerbaijan's representative at the Board of Management of the World Gastronomy Institute.

Representatives of 27 countries were also elected to the WGI Board of Directors.

The World Gastronomy Institute is a transnational organization established in 2007 to develop and spread gastronomy around the world. The headquarters is in Madrid (Spain). The World Gastronomy Institute has a consultative status, it's accredited by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs. The organization is also a member of the World Tourism Organization and UNESCO.

WGI includes Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Indonesia, China, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Venezuela , Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, USA, Turkey, Taiwan, France, Philippines, Chile, Ecuador, South Africa, South Korea, and Japan.
