Christmas is sneaking up around the corner!

The German Embassy in Baku prepares surprise ahead winter holidays. A traditional Christmas concert will take place in German-Azerbaijan Cultural Society "Kapellhaus" on December 7.

During the concert, guest will enjoy works of such legendary composers as Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Handel. At the same time, a number of Christmas, folk and church compositions will be performed, including works by famous national composers.

Entrance is free. The concert starts at 18:30.

Azerbaijan and Germany have been implementing mutually beneficial, equal and fruitful cooperation for a long time. Both countries are interested in deepening the existing relations, as well as in raising them to a higher level.

Two countries give importance to the development of cooperation in the spheres of economy, culture, trade and policy.

Many cultural events are organized in Azerbaijan and Germany in order to strengthen the cultural relations.

Every year German-Azerbaijan Cultural Society "Kapellhaus" hosts Arts and Crafts festival in Baku.

The festival presents ethnic handmade crafts by talented artists. Beautiful samples of arts and crafts including stained glass paintings, ceramics, beading, embroidery, decoupage, jewelry, aromatic soaps, handmade, woodcarving and dolls are put on sale.

Moreover, "Kapellhaus" hosted "Buddy Bear" award ceremony in 2016.

The contest was held to choose an artist, who would decorate a Buddy Bear sculpture, a symbol for Germany. The sculpture was installed near ISR Plaza business center.

The Days of Azerbaijani Culture were organized in Koln, in 2013.

The guests with interest viewed the photos reflecting the life style of the Germans who moved to Azerbaijan. The exhibition also featured the works of young Azerbaijani artists. Then, Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra named after Gara Garayev conducted by Fuad Ibrahimov gave a concert. The audience enjoyed the performance of national musicians.

Thereby, a gala concert featuring national ethno-jazz music took in Berlin this month.

Political relations between Azerbaijan and Germany develop very successfully. The year 2017 also marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries.
