South Korean cellist to perform in Baku

Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall will host a concert of by renowned pianist Eldaniz Alakbarzadeh and famous South Korean cellist Jiyun Yoo.
The event scheduled for November 11 is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Philharmonic Hall, Trend Life reported.
The soloists of the concert will be accompanied by the Azerbaijan State Symphonic Orchestra named after U.Hajibeyli led by People's Artist of Azerbaijan Yalchin Adigozalov.
The musicians will perform the works of world-famous composers.
Jiyun Yoo is a multi-faceted musician, as soloist, as a chamber musician and as an orchestral musician.
She has performed with Europe orchestras including those of United Europe Chamber Orchestra (Italy), Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonie Orchestra (Austria), Kammerphilharmonie Dacapo Munchen (Germany) and so on. She has given solo recitals in Klavier Hall, Youngsan Art Hall and also Baroque Hall in Korea. Also, she joined professional orchestras in Korea such as the Euro- Asian Philharmonic Orchestra and Seoul Phillhamonic Orchestra.
Jiyun Yoo has been awarded the highest prize at Chung-nam music
competition in Korea (1998 and 99), the highest prize at
University’s chamber music competition (2005) and also won 3rd
prize at chamber music competition which run by the Baroque Chamber
Orchestra, Korea (2005).
She graduated a Bachelor’s degree in Music at the prestigious
Kyung-Hee University in Korea and MA degree in performance at Royal
Academy of Music in London. Jiyun Yoo is a member of Atti String
Trio, RAMK Chamber Orchestra and PANASIA Ensemble.
