Azerbaijan Fashion Week will once again open its doors on November 7-10.

During these days, fashion lovers will enjoy the best collections of the season.

A press-conference timed to the fashion show was held in Baku on November 7, Trend Life reported.

Sayat Dossibayev, AFW art director said that the fashion project unites talented designers from Azerbaijan and foreign countries and create a platform to show their works.

"This year, the largest number of applications for participation came from Azerbaijani designers, and within the Fashion Week we will see a number of debuts. In addition to the collections of local designers, the works of fashion masters from other countries will be presented. Leading Moroccan designers and French designer Patrick Boffa are also among the participants ," he added.

Sayat Dossibayev stressed that among the tasks of AFW is to open new names of designers, as well as to expand the horizons in this industry for the already well-known domestic fashion designers.

Aurelia Bushes, the ambassador of France to Azerbaijan told about the work of the famous French designer Patrick Boffa, whose collection will be presented at the fashion week on November 10.

It was stressed that the collection by French designer is an ode to the talent of Yves Saint Laurent.

Azerbaijani designers also took part in the press conference. They talked about their collections, as well as key trends in the fashion industry.

Honored Art Worker, fashion designer Fahriya Khalafova, who will present her collection on November 9, noted that the event organizers created all the necessary conditions for designers participating in the Azerbaijan Fashion Week.

Along with a collection of wedding gowns, Fakhriya Khalafova, will present clothes from the collection, which was created in 2003. The collection includes dresses in the colors of the State Flag of Azerbaijan. While creating this collection, a special technique was used to stain silk.

Marvelous fashion show brought together not only designers, but also experts of fashion industry, representatives of mass media.

This season of Azerbaijan Fashion Week will take place at city's best venues Fairmont Baku Hotel.

Guests and designers will have a chance to appreciate the true German comfort and impeccable design of the official car of the Week - the Audi brand.

The headliners of the sixth season of the Fashion Week are the designers of the Oriental Fashion Show, the first of its kind defile, organized in Paris and intended to open the world to the high fashion of the East.

Within the Oriental Fashion Show, three designers from the Middle Eastern countries will represent their gorgeous fashion collections. At the same time, Wedding Fair will be also organized for brides as part of the event.

AFW showrooms will be available on November 8-10, from 15:00 to 21:00.

Azerbaijan Fashion Week is held twice a year in November and May. The event is organized by Fashion Consulting Group and supported by Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
