Gunel Mamedova, Fahri Gasimov and Elshad Maharramov will represent Azerbaijan at Miss & Mister Planet - 2017.

The beauty pageant will take place in Batumi, Georgia, on September 11-17, Trend Life reported.

Gunel Mamedova is a professional model, holder of the title of vice-miss "Miss Azerbaijan - 2016", "Fashion model" 2016-2017. Fahri Gasimov is the winner of the TV project "Özünə bax" (Battle of Styles). Elshad Maharramov is a model and actor, starred in the TV series "Curse of the Past" and "Revenge".

Turkey will be represented by Azerbaijani model Hamid Hajizade, who has been living and working in this country for several years.

The beauty contest will be held with the support of the mayor's office of Batumi with the participation of representatives from 25 countries.

On September 12, models will appear before the jury in traditional dresses at Piazza Square.

Later, the finalists will take part in the fashion shows by Georgian designers and press conferences. As part of the contest, participants will join charity events, visit children with leukemia and give them gifts.

The final of the contest will be held in the Batumi Music Center. Winners will get a gold crown, a cash prize of 5,000 euros and other awards.

In 2016, the model from Azerbaijan Yusif Jafarli was crowned Mister Planet, while Bulgarian model Marina Voykova got the title Miss Planet.
