YARAT to screen Chingiz Rasulzade's film [PHOTO]

YARAT Contemporary Art Space invites film lovers to the screening of film "The Dolls", directed by Chingiz Rasulzade on August 15.
"The Dolls" drama will be shown in Azerbaijani language with English subtitles.
The film story is as following: The Soviet Union, Azerbaijan, the capital city of Baku, 1989. The fall of the empire is at hand. A group of young men works at a seaside park disguised as Mickey Mouse and other characters so that passersby can have their photographs taken with them. They experience everything for the first time and things somehow move too fast. Love, friendship, and betrayal – betrayal of themselves and of their nation.
The event will start at 19:00. Admission is free.
YARAT is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to nurturing an understanding of contemporary art in Azerbaijan and to creating a platform for Azerbaijani art, both nationally and internationally. Based in Baku, YARAT (meaning CREATE in Azerbaijani) was founded by Aida Mahmudova in 2011.
It realizes its mission through an on-going program of exhibitions, education events and festivals. YARAT facilitates exchange between local and international artistic networks including foundations, galleries and museums.
