Azerbaijani musicians shine in Lithuania

Lithuania‘s Klaipėda city has hosted International Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival “Lauksnos”.

The festival of UNESCO took place on July 13-16 and presented a broad spectrum of protected and protectable traditional cultural elements.

The colorful event brought together famous music bands from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Spain, Bulgaria, Estonia, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia and Ukraine.

Mugham singer Konul Mammadli, Adalet Behbudov (tar) and Parviz Farhadov (kamancha) represented Azerbaijan at the festival, Azertac reported.

The musicians mesmerized foreign audience with folk songs and mugham, beautiful verbal heritage of Azerbaijani culture.

Konul Mammadli studies at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory. Adalat Behbudov is a laureate of republican and international competitions. Parviz Farhadov is a teacher at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory and Republican Art Gymnasium.
