A photo exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Khojaly Genocide has been unveiled in the Icherisheher (the Old City) , Day.Az reported.

The expo features portraits of relatives and family members of the victims of the Khojaly tragedy.

Entitled "Khojaly – history, frozen in the eyes", the expo is organized by the Administration of State Historical and Architectural Reserve Icherisheher.

February 26 will see the 25th anniversary of Khojaly Genocide committed by the Armenian troops against Azerbaijani civilians in the town of Khojaly.

This bloody massacre is regarded as one of the most serious crimes not only against the people of Azerbaijan, but humanity as a whole. Some 613 civilians mostly women and children were killed in the massacre, and a total of 1,000 people were disabled. Eight families were exterminated, 25 children lost both parents, and 130 children.
