Khojaly – history, frozen in the eyes

A photo exhibition dedicated to the Khojaly genocide will be held in the Old City (Icheri Sheher) on February 24-26, Trend Life reported.

On February 26 the world will mark the 25th anniversary of Khojaly Genocide committed by the Armenian troops against Azerbaijani civilians in the town of Khojaly .

The massacre is regarded as one of the most serious crimes not only against the people of Azerbaijan, but humanity as a whole. Some 613 civilians mostly women and children were killed in the massacre, and a total of 1,000 people were disabled. Eight families were exterminated, 25 children lost both parents, and 130 children.

Entitled "Khojaly – history, frozen in the eyes", exhibition will be held on the square near "Gosha Gala", the Old City.

The exhibition, organized by the Administration of State Historical and Architectural Reserve “Icherisheher” will feature portraits of relatives and family members of this tragedy's victims.

Moreover, guest will be shown videos with participation of eyewitnesses of those bloody and terrible events.

The event will start at 12:00.
