Investors buy Azerbaijani finance ministry’s bonds worth over $16M
On February 12, 2016, the short-term and middle-term state bonds
of the Azerbaijani finance ministry (ISIN number AZ0104002479) were
placed at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE), the exchange said.
The bids for short-term bonds were made by two companies and a
total volume of all bids was $16.415 million.
The bonds were bought at five percent and 2.99 percent,
accordingly.
The maturity date of bonds is Feb. 10, 2017.
Term of circulation of bonds is 364 days.
The auction for medium-term bonds has been recognized by the issuer
as failed. As part of the auction, one bid in the amount of $2
million was made.
In late January, the Azerbaijani State Securities Committee
registered two issue prospectuses of the state short-term and
medium-term bonds of the finance ministry for a total amount of 400
million manat, as well as two issue prospectuses of state bonds in
the amount of $500 million.
The finance ministry said that the bonds will be placed during the
year.
