Azerbaijan's agriculture presented in Berlin

Azerbaijan has presented over 200 kinds of agriculture products and goods at annual trade fair in Berlin.

The country participated at the International Green Week on January 16-25. The anniversary 80th Green Week exhibition this year attracted 68 countries with 1,660 companies and 415,000 visitors.

The Azerbaijani pavilion organized by the Economy and Industry Ministry, included the delegates of the Ministry, Agriculture Ministry, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), and more than 20 local companies.

Azerbaijan was represented for the eighth time at the exhibition. A huge interest accompanied the national pavilion.

Guests of the pavilion were informed about business and investment opportunities in Azerbaijan and agricultural products that have comparative advantage produced in the country.

The visitors of Azerbaijani pavilion had chance to get different promotional printed materials, journals, brochures, and video materials. The products that produced by local companies of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were also exhibited during the Green Week.

During the week, Ilham Quliyev, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture met with Agricultural association’s representatives of United Nations, European Union, and agriculture ministers of different countries. The sides discussed possible collaborations in the future.

He also participated in the 7th “Agriculture and Food Forum” for the ministers of agriculture.

Established in 1926, International Green Week is a one-of-a-kind international exhibition for the food, agricultural and horticultural industries.

Producers from all over the world come to IGW to test market food and luxury items and reinforce their brand image.
