Customs cooperation in focus of Azerbaijan-Gabon talks
Gabon is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in various spheres of the economy, including customs.
Marie Julie Biloghe, Gabon’s Minister Delegate for Economy, Investment Promotion and Planning made the remark at a meeting with Aydin Aliyev, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan in Baku, AzerTag state news agency reported.
She said cooperation between the two countries in this area began with the Baku visit of Ondinga Nguengue, Gabonese Customs Administration Director Michel in 2013.
Biloghe informed Aliyev about recent achievements in economic and tourist potential of Gabon.
Aliyev, in turn, spoke of his appreciation of Nguengue’s visit to Azerbaijan in 2013, during which many issues were discussed.
During the meeting, Aliyev also spoke about the activity of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, which has the status of the ministry.
He said that the State Customs Committee has its extra-budgetary fund directed to improve the welfare of the representatives of the Committee.
Aliyev also informed the guests about the system used in Azerbaijan for checkpoints. He said that this system will be presented in Brussels in February.
