Azerbaijan, Colombia eye cooperation in high technologies
Azerbaijan and Colombia have discussed cooperation in high technologies as Communication and High Technologies Minister Ali Abbasov has met Charge d'Affaires of the Colombian embassy Assad Jose Gater, AzerTag state news agency reported.
Abbasov highlighted Azerbaijan`s potential in the field of ICT. He said the opening of the Colombian embassy in Baku would contribute to the development of the relations between the two countries.
Gater, for his part, hailed economic reforms in Azerbaijan, and expressed Colombia`s interest in cooperating with Azerbaijan.
The ambassador said several Columbian companies would attend the Bakutel exhibition conference 2014.
The diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Colombia were established in 1994. The embassy of Colombia launched its activity in Azerbaijan's capital Baku on February 10.
