Azerbaijani Ambassador to Argentine Mammad Ahmadzade has met the country`s Tourism Minister Carlos Enrique Meyer.

The sides discussed a range of issues, including the development of relations between the two countries in the field of tourism, Enrique Meyer`s visit to Baku in 2012, and participation of Argentina's National Institute for Tourism Promotion in Azerbaijan International Travel and Tourism Fair, AzerTag state news agency reported.

Ahmadzade briefed the Argentinean side on the policy carried out by the government to develop the tourism industry and infrastructure, progress achieved for involving foreign tourists, and international tourism events held in Azerbaijan.

They also exchanged views on the establishment of the legal base for further development of tourism relations between Azerbaijan and Argentina.

Argentina and Azerbaijan have strong political ties, and work on the development of relations in the cultural, economic, and other spheres is underway.

The two countries are successfully cooperating in fields such as ICT and agriculture. Thus, Argentina's high-technology company INVAP, engaged in the construction and delivery of complex equipment, earlier expressed its readiness to contribute to the development of the space industry in Azerbaijan.

The Argentinean companies will be able to take advantage of the State Fund for Development of Information Communication Technologies, Hi-Tech Park, and the ICT University in the future.

Argentina and Azerbaijan are also interested in the joint development of agriculture in both countries. Argentina recently achieved good results in the development of agriculture with the aid of modern technologies, and intends to share this experience with Azerbaijan.
