Azerbaijan to join int'l ICT summit
Azerbaijani delegation will participate in the international
information and communication technologies summit to be held in
Tashkent on September 23.
The summit will be organized as part of the ICT Week InfoCom-2014,
AzerTag state news agency reported.
ICT Summit is an annual gathering of experts, representatives of
international organizations, public and business sector of
Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Estonia,
Germany, Netherlands and other countries to summarize the
development of the industry over the past year, discuss global
trends and best practices, and determine the course of further
development of the ICT sector.
The total number of delegates exceeds 500 people.
The organizing Committee of the Summit, taking into account trends
in ICT and recommendations of the participants of the previous
years, has identified the following areas breakout sessions: "ICT
in the public sector, ICT in business" and "Internet and
information resources.
One of the main themes of the Summit discussions will be the
development of e-government. Participants will also review the
progress and problems in implementation of the national ICT
development programs in the country, the experience of introducing
ICT into separate areas, issues of regulatory policy and other
relevant issues.
