Int'l financial institutions meet in Baku
The 7th conference and a technical workshop of the Eurasia Regional Committee of International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) kicked off in Baku on August 6.
The two-day event is attended by representatives of deposit insurance funds from Asia, Europe and CIS countries, and more than 50 delegates from central banks and international financial institutions.
The Eurasia Regional Committee is aimed to highlight regional interests and common issues through sharing information and exchange of ideas.
The Committee's major objectives are promoting dialogue between the Committee members and the IADI through holding regional meetings, conferences and workshops in the region, as well as establishing a regional network of liaisons.
Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund has chaired the IADI Eurasia Regional Committee from October 2012.
