The Moscow Energy Institute will train personnel for Azerbaijan, AzerTag state news agency reported.

It was agreed during a visit of a delegation of the institute led by acting rector Nikolay Rogalyov to the country's Communications and High Technologies Ministry.

The delegation met minister Ali Abbasov, and they discussed prospects for the bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in the fields of innovations, development of nuclear energy, staff training and the holding of joint conferences.

Abbasov highlighted ongoing reforms in the country, the projects being realized in the ITC sector.

He said educational institutions bear great responsibility in staff training and therefore all necessary conditions have been created for the Azerbaijani youth to study in foreign countries.

"A special State Program is being successfully realized in the country, as a result of which every year some 1,500 students are sent abroad to have qualitative education," Abbasov added.

Rogalyov hailed the development of high technologies in Azerbaijan and application of advanced methods in the country's education system.
