Uzbek commerce, industry chamber, Azerbaijani entrepreneurs' confederation agree on co-op

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan have signed an agreement on cooperation, Uzbek media reported on Feb. 20.
The agreement was signed as part of the Uzbek-Azerbaijani business forum.
More than 20 representatives of big Azerbaijani companies, as well as more than 50 representatives of big facilities from all regions of Uzbekistan took part in the forum.
During the event, issues of partnership to strengthen cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries were discussed.
In 2017, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan amounted to $31.2 million, Azerbaijani exports amounted to $26.2 million, imports stood at $4.9 million.
As many as 84 Azerbaijani facilities operate in Uzbekistan.
