The Secretariat of the GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development may get an opportunity to use the asandoc.az portal free of charge, the Azerbaijani company B.EST Solutions announced.

Any document can be signed in electronic form through mobile e-signature Asan Imza and e-signature of GUAM member countries, the company said at the 26th meeting of the project’s steering committee for facilitating trade and transportation in the GUAM members states.

The portal will simplify workflow and provide a convenient and legal communication between customs structures of the GUAM member countries. Moreover, the services will be cross-border thanks to the digital trade hub.

The use of electronic customs declarations in Azerbaijan began in April 2016 with the aim of achieving efficiency and transparency in the process of moving the goods and vehicles through the customs border.

Currently, the service of electronic customs declaration of goods and vehicles is available at the portal of Electronic Government (e-gov.az). By using this e-service, Azerbaijani citizens can quickly move imported goods and vehicles through the customs border by using a mobile authentication and Asan Imza e-signature.

The introduction of electronic customs declarations has contributed to the simplification of the process of declaring goods and vehicles crossing the customs border, provided the transparency of customs services, created an enabling environment for entrepreneurs and stimulated the foreign trade.
