Finance Ministry to put up manat bonds for auction

An auction for placement of short-term bonds of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Finance will be held at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) on December 13, the BSE said on December 9.
The bonds are worth 10 million manats (1.743 AZN/USD on Dec. 9).
Some 100,000 bonds at a par value of 100 manats each and maturity period of 91 days will be put up for auction. The maturity date of the bonds is March 14, 2017.
Azerbaijani investment company PASHA Capital is the underwriter of the issuance.
Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Securities registered two issue prospectuses of short-term and medium-term bonds of the Finance Ministry worth a total of 400 million manats as well as two bond issue prospectuses worth $500 million in late January.
The Finance Ministry has said that bonds will be placed throughout the year.
