While Azerbaijan is preparing to host the grandiose sport event, historical European Games in 75 days, the name of the next country to hand the baton is still unclear.

So far, Azerbaijan may pass the torch of the European Games 2019 to Great Britain, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Belorussia or Turkey.

The host city for the second games will be announced at the EOC Extraordinary General Assembly this May.

The Land of Fire prepared to the major event of the country in some two years, while the other countries have enough time to get ready. Notwithstanding the tight schedule, Azerbaijan is aimed to hold the Games at the level of the summer Olympics, thus setting the bar high for the following countries.

An exciting and innovative new multi-sport event of the continent this year will include 20 sports, 16 of which are Olympic, during the 17 days of competition in June 12-28. 6,000 athletes will prove themselves in Baku.

The strongest joint bid for the games, the Netherlands may hold the sport event around the country, in such major cities as Amsterdam and Rotterdam, the Hague and Utrecht, as well as Drenthe and Brabant. Moreover, the country plans to decrease the number of sports to 17.

Amsterdam is also considering bidding for the Summer Olympics 2028 to celebrate the centenary of the Amsterdam Olympics 1928. Organization of such a major event could cost Netherlands 100 million euros.

Meanwhile, Baku has started ticketing program for Baku 2015 and invites all to visit the country this June.
