Paris to learn about Baku 2015

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azerbaijan’s embassy in France will present Baku-2015 European Games in Paris on November 26.

Within the framework of the event, the guests will familiarize with an exhibition comprised of bronze statues devoted to “Baku-2015”. Called “We Together”, this exhibition will demonstrate over 20 works by Azerbaijani sculptors.

Following, attendees of the event will be presented a documentary devoted to the first European Games. Preparation works carried out in Baku in connection with this competition, the sports infrastructure created and other actions taken have been reflected in the documentary.

At the presentation ceremony, violinists of the State Chamber Orchestra of Azerbaijan named after Gara Garayev will perform.

The guests of the ceremony will be also presented various publications about Azerbaijan.

Presentations of the first European Games Baku-2015 have been held so far, with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, in the cities of Cannes, Athens, Berlin and Istanbul.

Each of these events was remembered by various presentations related to Azerbaijan’s history and culture. The presentations aimed to inform onlookers in other countries of the inaugural European Games, as well as preparation works carried out in Azerbaijan for these Games, and popularize the culture, art and traditions of Azerbaijan.

Baku will host the first European Games next summer from 12 – 28 June, involving more than 6,000 athletes from the National Olympic Committees of Europe across 17 days of competition, in what will be the largest sporting event in Azerbaijan’s history.
