Turkish embassy commemorates victims of Istanbul terror attack

A book of condolences has been opened at Turkey`s Embassy in Azerbaijan in tribute to the victims of the terrorist attacks at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul.

Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharifov signed the book on June 30, Azertac reported.

In his interview with journalists, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ismail Alper Coskun noted that “our two countries have always stood by each other in such hard times”.

Representatives of the diplomatic corps and members of the public are visiting the embassy to sign the book of condolences.

The death toll from a triple suicide bombing at Istanbul's Ataturk airport rose to 41 dead and 230 injured.

Five Saudis, two Iraqis and citizens from China, Jordan, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, Iran and Ukraine were among 13 foreigners dead.
