The last month of meteorological spring will kick of tomorrow, though the month of April ended up muggy and warm. So how will May itself fare?

Meteorologists’ estimate is for slightly warmer than normal temperatures .It will feel warmer than April on the whole, above average and slightly above normal precipitation.

The average monthly temperature in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula is predicted to be 18-20 C (11-16 C at nights, sometimes 20-25 C during daytimes, and sometimes even 28-30 C), the National Department for Hydrometeorology at the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry reported.

Average monthly precipitation will be close to the climatic norm (18-21mm) and a little above the norm in some places.

In Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, average monthly temperature is predicted to be +16-20˚C.

At nights the temperature will be +11-16˚C. In the afternoons the temperature will be +22-27˚C, but will rise up to +30-35˚C in some days. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 33-62 mm).

Average monthly temperature predicted to be +11-15˚C in Upper Karabakh: Khankandi, Shusha, Khojali, Khocavand; Gubadli, Zangilan, Lachin, Kalbajar and Dashkasan, Gadabay regions, which is nigh to the climatic norm.

At nights the temperature will be +8-13˚C,while in the afternoons temperature will be +13-18˚C, and will be +22-27˚C in some days.

Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 68-122 mm) and a little above the norm in some places.

In Gazakh-Ganja, Goranboy, Tar-Tar-Agdam-Agjabadi-Fuzuli-Jabrail regions, average monthly temperature is predicted to be +17-20˚C which is close to the climatic norm.

At nights the temperature will be+12-17˚C. In the afternoons the temperature will be +20-25˚C, will be +28-33˚C in some days.

Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 31-54 mm) and a little above the norm in some places.

As for Balakan, Zagatala, Qakh, Sheki, Oguz, Gabala, İsmailly, Agsu, Shamakhy, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Guba, Khachmaz, Gusar regions, average monthly temperature is predicted to be +15-19˚C which is close to the climatic norm.

In the afternoons temperature will be from +18-23˚C, will be+27-32˚C in some days, while at nights the temperature will be +12-17˚C, +5-10 ˚C in some days.

Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 26-166mm) and a little above the norm in some places.

Average monthly temperature is predicted to be +19-22˚Cin Central-Aran: Agdash, Mingachevir, Yevlakh, Kurdamir, İmishli, Beylagan, Sabirabad, Bilasuvar, Saatli, Shirvan, Hajıgabul, Salyan, Neftchala regions.

At nights the temperature will be +13-18˚C. In the afternoons the temperature will be from +22-27˚C, will be +30-34˚C in some days. Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 26-62mm) and a little above the norm in some places.

In Masallı-Lankaran-Astara-Lerik, Yardimli regions average monthly temperature is predicted to be +15-19˚C which is close to the climatic norm.

In the afternoons the temperature will be from +19-24˚C, will rise up to +27-32˚C in some days, while at nights the temperature will be +10-15˚C.

Monthly rainfall is expected to be close to the climatic norm (norm 41-72 mm).
