“Reduce Your Waste” photo contest announced

“Tamiz Shahar” JSC has launched“Reduce Your Waste” photo contest upon the initiative and with the support of IDEA Public Union to promote environmental protection and waste reduction and to raise awareness among the population, especially among youth, about waste and its negative effects on the environment
Professional or amateur photographers, who wish to join the contest should visit www.tullantim.az website of “Tamiz Shahar” JSC and register. Then, simply upload a photo that reflects the negative impacts of waste on the environment in the “Photocontest” section of the website or send it by email to [email protected].
Each participant must only submit a photo taken personally by him/her; photos should demonstrate the importance of environmental protection, waste reduction and elimination of factors that negatively affect the human health, and encourage people to keep our Planet clean, take care of nature and not pollute the environment.
The deadline for the submission of photos is 20 April 2016.
A panel consisting of representatives of IDEA Public Union and “Tamiz Shahar” JSC as well as of professional independent photographers will select the 3 most impressive photographs and determine the winners. IDEA launched by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva in 2011 is aimed at promoting public awareness of environmental issues and action, collaboration with youth, education in the field of environmental problems and finding proper solutions for them.
